26th April 2022 Timothy Spall plays Tom, an elderly man traveling around Britain by bus. He lives on the northern tip of Scotland with his wife Mary. When Mary dies Tom takes Mary’s ashes back to the southern most tip of England where they started their married life. In flashback scenes the young Tom is played by Ben Ewing and the young Mary by Natalie Mitson. Great cinematography and characters. Take a box of tissues!
24th May 2022 “Operation Mincemeat” starring Colin Firth, Kelly Mc Donald, Matthew McFadden & many other top rate actors. It was a tight, suspenseful WWII espionage drama. Based on a true story, it tells the unlikely tale of the diversion the Brits perpetrated on the Nazis so they thought the Allies were invading Greece rather than Cyprus. Six members rated this movie an 8 out of 10.
